Policies

You will need to know the following information. We recommend travel insurance to avoid any acts of the almighty.

  1.  Daily, weekly, and monthly rates can vary. Being a home we do not need to charge any tax.
  2. Unless otherwise noted a security deposit will be included in the rental contract and has to be paid in advance as the rental amount. Deposit on the home is US - US 500. Tenants agree to pay for any damage caused. If there is no damage the security deposit will be returned within two to four weeks of departure.
  3. We prefer your reservation be paid by wire transfer or money order.
    We accept VISA or MC with a 5% processing fee.
  4. A 50% deposit is required to hold your dates. Your balance is due 45 days prior to arrival, 60 days for holidays.
  5. Cancellations made 60 days before arrival are 50% refundable, within 30 days non-refundable at the owner’s discretion. Cancellations and refunds are based on the ability to re-rent. A cancellation fee of US $150 will apply.
  6. Maximum occupancy includes all children no matter what age. No additional guests. No exceptions. Contract will be null and void and you will be asked to leave.
  7. No pets allowed.
  8. No smoking inside the property.
  9. Three night minimum stay (1 week during holiday season).
  10. Check-in 3:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM. Early check in and/or late check out can be arranged at half a days rate if it's possible. two
  11. High chair and crib will be supplied if requested, please bring your own bedding for the crib
  12. All rentals are subject to Mexican laws and regulations.
  13. Maid service is two times a week. No maid service on Sundays and Mexican holidays. Maid service can be increased for an additional charge per day
  14. At the time of final payment you will receive an email outlining the additional services we offer, including airport transportation. Please let us know at least a week in advance which services you would like us to set up for you.
  15. Directions and entry procedures will be send out upon final payment. Directions are from Cancun Airport to your vacation home. Entry procedures include the lock box code for the house and service phone numbers. Please remember to bring these instructions with you.
  16. Water and electricity are the two most valuable commodities. Please conserve both. Shut off air conditioners when not using the bedrooms, and when leaving the premises. Air conditioners found running with the windows open will result in forfeiture of security deposit.
  17. Use common sense and to ensure a safe trip, lock all doors and windows when leaving the premises.
  18. Occupancy is based on 8 people including children as a three bedroom and 10 people as a 4 bedroom. An additional 2 people are permitted at the rate of $25 per person per night thereafter.
  19. VIP Reef card is for use of Casa Sand Castle. Sand Castle Arena may use if the main floor of the house is not rented out. Only one card is permitted by Playacar.
