Take Highway 307 South for app. 40 minutes. Sign will say Tulum, Akumal, Puerto Morelos. STAY IN THE CENTER LANES IF POSSIBLE. This is the only tricky part of driving in this area. The highway is set up with a local access on the far edge, with the through lanes in the center, but they tend to go in and out without much warning. Puerto Morelos is approximately the half way point. Approaching Playa del Carmen you will encounter various traffic lights.
Pass them all. Continue on. You are still on the right side of the divided highway. The Playacar entrances will be on the left. Take the retorno past the last traffic light to reverse direction. Pass the first Playacar entrance. You will see the Sam’s Club just before the second Playacar entrance. Go through the gates. You are now in Playacar Fase II. If you get lost, go back to the gate and ask the guards.
Stay on this road until you come to the large Glorietta (rotary). Stay to the right. Watch out for speed bumps. You will pass Villas de Mayab on the right (white houses with domes) and the Aviary.
Count three streets on the left. Pass the Reef Club and turn around right in front of the Rui, when coming back pass the Reef Club again and take your first right just past the club onto retorno Sayil which will veer left go to the end and Casa Sand Castle will be 2nd to last house across from the tennis court.
Casa Sand Castle is Lot # 25.
